In our written posts, we will explore a wide range of topics including modern issues surrounding masculinity and male identity, how men can connect more deeply with themselves and others, and daily, actionable steps that any man can take to transform themselves and their lives.
On our podcast ‘Tales That Tethr’, tethr Founder & CEO Matt Zerker interviews entrepreneurs, experts, thought leaders, and regular people about what is means to be a man, the challenges that modern men face, and how to overcome challenges and live life in a more connected and authentic way.
Last night, we hosted the second-ever live tethr event to celebrate the launch of We Fu*k With Feelings. Thanks to everyone who showed up. If you weren’t able to tune in for this one, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for future events.
So what is #WFWF? As a community, we’re creating a new world in which men are in touch with their thoughts and feelings — and they fu*k with both. “This initiative is meant to champion men who acknowledge and experience their feelings rather than being isolated by limited beliefs,” explains co-founder Addison Brasil. “The reason I wanted to use the word fu*k in the campaign is that it gives power to each man — the word can mean so many things. In being interchangeable, it gives power to honor what you’re feeling however it best serves you.”
“We fu*k with feelings came from an experience of my own. When asked by a mentor how I was feeling, I responded, “I feel worthless.” She lovingly explained to me that my answer was a thought, not a feeling. A life changing moment,” Addison adds. “Instead of experiencing sadness and anger, I was jumping to constructed thoughts about who I was.”
In honor of this new initiative, and the growing tethr community, we wanted to do something special. And what brings people together better than cozy matching sweatshirts? Almost nothing.
We've finally launched the official tethr store!
Our founder and CEO Matt Zerker explain that the products in our brand new merch store were all, "designed with the same intention we bring to every area of tethr: to create a sense of community and brotherhood." Each and every member should be proud of the work they do in this community, so wear the tethr logo with pride. It means something different to each of us, but collectively, it means we are committed to a better future for men and for everyone.
As Addison explained, “every item in the tethr store is aligned with an affirmation or association. So that these everyday items serve as reminders of mental wellbeing and signal to others that we aren’t afraid to be vulnerable and practice courage."
If you're showing off your tethr pride on Instagram, be sure to tag us cause we wanna see it. Welcome to the tethr team!
