Meet Addison Brasil | Co-Founder, Producer & Conscious Real Estate Connector
Hi Addison, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
When I look at what has lead to the most success for me and the brands I have helped build in my career – it all centers around the importance of connection. Both personally and professionally, I am most proud of my ability to see others as they are, seek to understand them and help them to feel less alone. Over the course of my career, this has been the special ingredient that allows me to be a conscious multi-hyphenate in a world that wants you to choose one thing and do it well. Cultivating relationships that are balanced and boundary driven are the cornerstone of my what I consider true wealth – my relationships. Both the conscious concierge I founded and tethr (a men’s mental health and wellbeing platform) seek to connect and align. Getting to know members on a deeper level allows me to focus on what matter’s most when making brand decisions – what will create the most impact? Meaningful connections hold immense value to everyone involved – they are a long term investment with high rewards. From producing social impact narrative films to conscious connecting in real estate, to becoming a co-founder of tethr – it all comes back to connection.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have the privilege of being an intentional multi-hyphenate as a professional based in Los Angeles, CA. This path was not one that I got to follow, but rather have explored and created on my own. At the core of what I do I am a creator and connector with one primal goal – to connect people to a greater sense of self and community. This is something I have explored as a choreographer, writer, producer, founder and philanthropist. Finding the balance was not easy, but when I found it, I knew I was home. Today I act primarily as the Head of Brand & Impact for tethr (a peer enabled men’s mental health and wellbeing platform available in the app store). This involves honoring real stories and encouraging them to be shared and wellbeing to be explored. In addition, I recently produced the short film The Great Artist alongside Purpose Co. and award winning director, Indrani. This film is another opportunity for me to explore a nonfictional depiction of a man’s mental health journey and normalize sharing it. In the midst of balancing aspirations in Hollywood and Silicon Valley, I have to admit real estate is like my fantasy football. I love it and it always finds its way into the mix. I specialize in conscious referrals across the globe and every once in a while I represent friends and family too. What have I learned? Their is no manual for a social impact driven entrepreneur – you must be guided by the impact you see the most value in creating. It only has to make sense to you.
